I am a sophomore at Christopher Newport University in eastern Virginia.  I started a year-long activism project highlighting the individuals with cultures, orientations, religions, mental health differences, and overall identities that do not get talked about or spotlighted like they should at my university.  As an individual who identifies as transgender, it has been difficult going through a transition feeling alone or alienated through my experience.  I began to think about how this same feeling of singularity could also be something that other individuals with different stories and backgrounds could be feeling the exact same things as me.

This project began as an attempt to feel whole, and has become a mission to show others that they are already complete in themselves alone.

This project is a call to action.

It is a spotlight for people who are here, proud, and demand to be seen.  We will no longer fade into the background or use our statistical insignificance Mohave an internalized mindset of oppression.  We are here and we will be seen.  We all deserve to be seen.
